Nurses Relationship with Other Professionals

There are different types and number of specialists in the health team who work as a unit so that they can meet the health needs of the patient and the community. The relationship between these various members of the health team and the nurse is a professional relationship. The nurse should apply such techniques and attitudes that develops confidence in the minds of the other personnel and the community. There should be good and clear communication between the nurse and the other professionals to maintain good cooperation between the two. Professional etiquette is the good manners exhibited in the professional relationships and nurse should learn what type of etiquette is accepted and expected of her in professional relationships. To command respect from others she should be well- informed, intelligent, dignified and prompt and should show interest and initiative in her work.
Nurse's Relationship with the Community : In the community, the nurse should be friendly and be able to create awareness of the health needs and capable in stimulating the society to get their cooperation to meet the needs and to do this, she should establish good working relationship, which helps in the improvement of the health standards and works towards social welfare. The community relationship has two sides - she is the member of the same society and also has the professional relationship with the community.
Professional Relationship : Though nurse is a member of the society, she use her prestige and influence to bring about welfare of the society and improvements in the general public health.
Personal Relationship : The nurse is a member of the community, lives in community and works with the members and groups of the community.

Legal Aspects of Nursing and Low in Nursing

In every society there are some common and statutory laws for protection of the rights of the people and nursing involves people, hence for safe nursing practice every nurse has to understand the law and legal responsibilities to protect the rights of her patient as well as to protect herself from liabilities.
Every nurse has to know personal, ethical and legal responsibilities regarding state licensing laws, statutory laws, common laws and professional laws, code of ethics and changes occurring periodically for her own safeguard and knowledge.

Scope of Research in Nursing Career

Research in nursing is not different from other research. Nursing education includes more disciplines than medical education which includes medical subjects as well as non- clinical subjects like social sciences, library sciences, administration and management. Then the nurses role in health deliverance is important a part from following doctors prescription to preventive, creative, rehabilitative care of patient, administration and management of ward as out-patient department or office. In such situation, there are continuous conflict, struggle, problems and the research help her find solution to solve that problems, improve quality of her work as well as she can contribute to develop and progress in nursing profession. Thus nursing research is directed toward helping people to keep themselves healthy and fit as well as helping patients to improve their health. Nursing research develops knowledge about health and promotion of health, care of person with health problems and disabilities and effective reducing of nursing health care. Nursing as manpower in health care deliverance also requires to find out their problems at work, working conditions, bettering their services, for improving or modifying working conditions, all these calls for research in nursing profession.
